Over the course of the weekend a beloved Philadelphia Police Officer was shot and killed as well as five other people in the course of a few hours. Despite video footage only one person has been arrested.

Police search for Officer Moses Walker Jr.'s murderers and a rising reward of $118,000 hasn't brought a tip.

Officer Walker finished his shift at 6:00AM. A co-worker offered him a ride home, but he decided to walk as it was a nice morning. He changed into street clothes and went to enjoy the finally somewhat cooler morning, and was murdered in cold blood.

All the cameras in the world and this Officer and five other citizens are murdered in cold blood.

RIP Officer Walker. I am so sorry you couldn't just walk home or to a bus stop without being murdered.

This is just a shame. Rest in Peace officer.

The suspect, Rafael Jones, has been formally charged after confessing to the officer's murder, and a second man is being sought. An attempted street robbery, the officer tried to draw his gun and was shot multiple times.

Capt. James Clark, Homicide Unit commander, said the second man sought is Chancier McFarland, 19, of the 1400 block of North 23rd Street in North Philadelphia.

He said McFarland should be considered armed and dangerous and asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact police.

"Turn yourself in," Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey said at a news conference.

As for Jones, Ramsey called him a "violent ."

"Thank God we have him," the commissioner said, adding he hopes Jones "spends the rest of his miserable life" in prison.

Maurice Gibbs said he was playing cards with friends outside a Bartram Village apartment on Aug. 20, 2012, when a childhood friend, Rafael Jones, walked up. Gibbs said the only thing more surprising than seeing a friend he had not seen in almost seven years was what Jones said after drawing him aside: that he had killed a police officer...

Gibbs, 21, testified Tuesday in the murder-robbery trial of Jones, 25, accused of killing Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker shortly before 6 a.m. on Aug. 18, 2012... The nonjury trial begins its third day Wednesday before Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey P. Minehart with testimony expected from Jones' alleged accomplice, Chancier McFarland.

McFarland, 21, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in June in a deal that lets him escape life in prison - he will have to serve 20 to 40 years - if he testifies truthfully for the prosecution in Jones' trial.

Chancier McFarland, one of the two punks who robbed and killed off-duty Police Officer Moses Walker Jr. in North Philly three years ago, was sentenced yesterday to 20 to 40 years in prison.

His sentence was part of a plea deal, in which McFarland cooperated with the prosecution and testified against his co-defendant, Rafael Jones, at Jones' trial last December.

Jones, of North Philly, fatally shot Walker, 40, in the early morning of Aug. 18, 2012. Jones, now 26, was convicted of first-degree murder and related offenses, and was sentenced in June to life in prison without parole.
