Sweet 16 party shooting concerns Riviera Beach leaders after two teens killed
.........The shooting had both investigators and city leaders on Sunday searching for answers and for who is responsible. .........
Siciliano and his band were playing next door at the Riviera Beach Marina when he heard and saw the situation unfold.
"Just saw the parking lot filling up with people, running. And it was sad because they're young kids, 17-year-old children having a party," said Siciliano.
Hours after the police tape came down, investigators still had no answers as to why the shooting started and had no one in custody.
"You got too many people, running around with guns, young people, just behaving badly that have no regard for the value of life," said Rose Anne Brown, spokesperson for the Riviera Beach Police Department.
City mayor Thomas Masters also spoke out about the shooting. ............

Riviera Beach police: Suspects in Sweet 16 party fatal shooting hid guns in their clothing
.........Riviera Beach Police Chief Clarence Williams said during an afternoon news conference that the safety of the community “is intact” and he was confident “that the persons involved in this event will be found.”
But Williams’ words didn’t calm fear of some parents, especially those at Palm Beach Gardens High School, where some of the party-goers attended.
In an “abundance of caution,” extra police officers were on duty at the school Tuesday........
Police would not identify the victims, nor would they say if any suspects have been identified. Police said identifying the names of the victims could harm the investigation.
Williams said there is “no indication” the incident at Newcomb Hall was gang-related. He said no pat-downs were performed on the attendees. He said an “altercation” between some of the party-goers erupted about half an hour before the party was scheduled to end, and that led to the shooting. Two guns were used, Williams said.

Sweet 16 party arrest: Suspect Rijkard Jean Baptiste in custody for deadly Riviera Beach shooting
RIVIERA BEACH, Fla.-- Riviera Beach Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the deadly weekend "Sweet 16" birthday party shooting at Newcomb Hall.
Riviera Beach Mayor Thomas Masters says his granddaughter may have been dating the suspect.
Riviera Beach PR Manager William Jiles identified the suspect as 20-year-old Rijkard Jean-Baptiste, who was arrested at his Lake Park home at 806 8th Street.
He was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail where he was booked on first-degree murder and 2nd degree murder charges.
He was in a wheelchair at his first appearance Thursday where a judge denied setting bond. A probable cause affidavit says Jean-Baptiste claims he was shot in the leg, and once on the ground, pulled a gun from his pocket and shot back.
Jiles says no other arrests have been made.
