Glastonbury police said a woman was walking with her dog along Windham Rd, when they stumbled onto some human remains at around 9:34 a.m.

She [found what she] believed to be a shallow grave. We responded out there and confirmed her suspicions, said Sgt. Rich McKeon, from the Glastonbury Police Dept.

Its not a well-traveled area. Its remote and its wooded, with just dirt trails going through it, said Sgt. McKeon.

Police wouldnt reveal the condition of the remains...

Glastonbury police said there were no open missing persons cases in the town.

Jeffrey L. Stone has missing from Glastonbury CT since January 2003.

However, until we know what the condition of the remains is, there's no way to know if he would be a reasonable possible.

There are quite a few other MP's from nearby Hartford.

Just as a side note, Glastonbury CT is considered to be a very "upscale" town & a suburb of Hartford. Lots of professors, pharm reps, insurance CEO's. Glastonbury even has a "view tax" if your home is near the river! Lots of high-end newer subdivisions with "McMansions". It used to be a few decades ago more of a farmer's town and a bit more rural. Now it is urban-sprawling.

They are probably waiting on dentals or DNA for confirmation.
