20-year-old Juan Andres Hernandez is charged with murder.

The baby was transferred to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, where she was placed on life support, Hester said she was pronounced dead at 6:45 a.m. Sunday. He said an autopsy showed the baby had suffered head trauma.

Juan Andres Hernandez, 22, of the 1800 block of Norris Road in Garland, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Isabella Hernandez in 2012, District Attorney Jon David said in a release.

Juan Hernandez was sentenced to a minimum seven years, 10 months to a maximum of 10 years, five months in prison...

Hernandez... admitted to shaking the baby to stop her crying, the release said.
