John Dohms spent decades researching the microbiology of avian disease and, as a University of Delaware professor, teaching students about diseases that plague animals.

    Delaware

This guy is from Newark, Delaware....not Newark, New Jersey....

I live reasonably close and am going to forward to several people including my neighbor who just retired as a UD professor this month...

As a trivia point of state to state 'contention'....Jersey-ites pronounce Newark something akin to Noork or Nurk.....found out quickly after moving to Delaware, it definitively pronounced New Ark, as though it's two words...

Was coming to post the same thing. Was reading and looking at the pics and scratching my head about why that person would be living in "Nork." Not very close to the Univ. of Delaware and pretty much the last place in NJ you'd go for a little outdoor recreating, with the several close seconds lol Newark, DE is on a whole 'nother planet.

Talked to that recently retired UD professor neighbor of mine, and she forwarded info to the UD administrative assistant and asked her to forward on the info...most of those folks live down in that area....

Neither of us had picked up on that in the local paper, so that may get a few more folks involved....

I'll keep checking on local info...not sure anything's organized...

    Found

Just got a message from my friend who had sent the info to the UD admin....

    From the admin :

"They found him!!! One of our grad student, Rachel Zeleny, was walking and he came out of the woods with no shoes on and she recognized him from a post on Facebook that Kaylee had made the same day. Isn't that awesome!"

I'll try to find link in MSM....

I am a family member. I can confirm 100% that he HAS NOT been found. We urge that anyone in the area keep looking, as the police are not. We feel he may be back in the White Clay Park area. Hope to release a sketch today of what he may look like after 11 days outside to help the publice spot him.

Again, John Dohms is still missing in Newark, DE. He has severe dementia. Please help us find him!
