This will be a short day, scheduled to be over by lunch, AZ time. We might also hear arguments on the video and transcripts due to be published in court Monday.

Good morning

What video?

 Back at ya!

There is a police officer who had an interview with EJ. Those much more knowledgeable about the case than I can fill you in with the details. Is it the officer from Florida???

Nope - judge ruled Salame (SA detective) violated her rights by talking to her, since she was already represented with by an attorney who was not invited to the meeting.

What does everyone think about how the trial is progressing? I think they have proven the charges......

I concur, I really do think they have. And while the defense may want to throw up the Smith smokescreen, it's not going to cloud all of EJ's other behaviors.

I wonder if any of you think as I do. After watching EJ's facial contortions, I have to wonder if it is a sign that she is trying mightily to stifle her outbursts? Based on what we've heard about her temper and mental issues, I'm of the belief she has severe anger issues.

I think the prosecution's case is too disjointed and leaves too many question.

For example, why have EJ's former neighbors testify about EJ using their cell phone, and EJ getting a call from a woman, and the police figuring out which calls were EJ's if they weren't going to follow up with having LE say WHO called EJ and who was EJ calling? Without that piece of testimony, what do the phone calls have to do with anything?

I agree. I'm hoping that some of the witnesses today might give those answers. I do know that they have to show the chain of evidence before they can have testimony about an exhibit. My fingers are crossed.

Anybody getting anthing yet? Or, am I too early?

the kpho link I posted doesn't work again. they must change something in the computer coding every morning, because it worked fine when I posted it first thing.

I'm hoping testimony from the forensic specialist that deals with phone records brings all the testimony together and clears up who called who and when.......

All the state has to prove is that EJ is intentionally keeping the child and any information about the location of the child from Logan and the authorities. I think they proved that. jmo

what sort of jail time will she get assuming she is convicted on all charges? she has been locked up for going on 3 years now..wonderif like Casey would these criminals rather be in county lock up than a state prison so even if she does get convicted she will have so much good time in county that they will have to let her go soon.

This is bad cause I just realized the cops have had 3 years to find the mystery adoptive parents, IMO they are a figment of EJ's imagination and the vehicle for which she thinks will get her out of a murder charge.

Texas needs to step up to the plate or the FEDS and charge her w/Murder that is the crime here, so far un punished or even acknowledged.
