I've had SO many things stolen out of checked luggage (ironically I got a TSA love letter letting me know my bad had been randomly searched too). I now refuse to check a bag no matter how long I'm gone and I will not take ANYTHING of any value with me.
When I would complain to TSA about items stolen (once it was a BLUSH, can you believe that?) they blame the airline, airline blames TSA. However it goes, you are never compensated.
I have to agree that you cannot take ANY items of value with you on any trip. I actually trust the international airports and staff more than I trust the "fine" people of the TSA.All posts from me are MY OPINION ONLY
