Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a young woman found floating in Truman Lake, Benton County, MO.

http://www.kansascity.com/2012/10/02/3844435/police-seek-help-identifying-body.html

This young woman is rather tall, approx. 5'8"

Does she match any of our missing, I wonder? The body appears to have been submerged for up to six months. Article says "a few days to 6 months." That's quite a gap there, I would think?

Nobody missing within the past year out of Missouri fits those parameters.

The most recently missing Missouri MP is Liehnia May Chapin (LKA Jan-Apr 2006)

KMBC channel 9 reported at 10pm tonight that the body has been sent to UofM in Columbia for an autopsy. A local man they interviewed said the body had to have been tossed from a bridge, as the water in the area she was found has been too low to get close to the water from the bank.

not necessarily. a local with a boat could have taken the body out under cover of darkness and dumped it in deeper water.

Looking in adjacent states, there's Anda Nadwadney of Des Plaines IL.

"Detectives said the woman had dark hair, and there were no distinctive marks on her body."

Looks like it could be her. Anda has multiple piercings though, I'm not sure that is considered as a distinctive mark. Or they were taken out.

I left a message with the local sheriff's department, and they just called me back. I gave him the name of Anda Nadwadney, and said that she fit all of the physical parameters released to the public. I noted that a weight parameter had not been released, and said that Adna was on the heavy side (180 lbs).

He responded that this Jane Doe could not be described as heavy, although he declined to divulge a weight range.

So given that, I would say that Anda Nadwadney is unlikely.

How many were suspected of having lovers involved? I hate to sound so tainted, but the weights make me think domestic murder.

Ashley Reed was meeting 2 unknown males https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/8602/0

Do you think 1990 is too long ago? CarlK's communication let him to think our doe wasn't "curvy". They can't tell that from just bones, right? Or can they? Seems to me that someone missing from 1990 and in the water wouldn't have any hair either.

:tears: SO SAD!

Hahaha! Wonderful. I'm not sure how I did that! Okay so ignore those posts cuz apparently my kindle doesn't like dates.

ETA: The search I tried to use was from Jan 1 11 to today's date. No clue why it showed 90s Thanks for pointing it out.

Wonder if the body could of been submerged longer than what they think. Most of Mo. rivers, lakes etc are spring fed and quite cold.......just a thought. Kinda new here (websleuths)...so I dont post much. Moo

I don't know if you can say she wasn't "curvy", just that she wasn't particularly overweight. Anda was listed at 180 lbs, so she could be reasonably characterized as "heavy".

Yes, I'm sure that she wasn't in the water for more than a year.

I've seen situations, such as Lake Tahoe, where bodies have remained preserved for decades at the bottom of a deep lake, but those are situations where the body is extremely deep in the water and the water temperature never rises to more than a few degrees above freezing. And in those situations, the bodies never rise to the surface.

Not sure that I am approaching this in the right way, but here goes. This is a missing person from Mo State Highway Patrol Missing Person index. She seems to fit but she was listed as pregnant. So if I am not doing this right please modify it or edit as you see fit Mods
Removed link...she is too short.

She has a tattoo as well, Jane Doe has no distinguishing marks.

How tall is Brittney Wood? How sure are they about the 5'8"

Re Carl's post: Maybe he said "not heavy" but no weight, because she was pregnant?

regardless of what temps they are in a normal year, I would think with the heatwave, drought and lower water levels, the water temps would be on the warmer side this year.
