Man gets 5 years for string of home-invasion robberies

A Rochester man who admitted he was involved in several home-invasion robberies last year was sentenced to 5 years in state prison Wednesday morning.

Carlton K. Briggs, 30, last month pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree robbery in connection with a residential robbery in the city in 2011, said Assistant District Attorney Matthew Schwartz. Briggs was also sentenced to five years post-release supervision by Monroe County Court Judge Frank Geraci Jr....

5 years for a string of home invasion robberies???!!!! If he did one I'd be mad about a five year sentence.
