Mrs. Wickliffe Leaves Estate Of $50,000
Mrs. Carolyne Wickliffe Antoine, of Washington, D.C., was named executrix last week in the will of her mother, Mrs. Minnie ayde Wickliffe, 87, who died at the Madison Lodge Sanitarium here April 12.
The will, filed through the law offices of Miller and Maddox, names four other heirs to the estate valued at close to $50,000. Those named, in addition to Mrs. Antoine, are Gustavus Woodson Wickliffe, a son who is a former Hollywood High School athlete; his wife, Viola; grandson Gustavus Woodson Wickliffe III; a granddaughter, Anita Wickliffe, all of 2934 Westview avenue.
Mrs. Wickliffe was born in Oberlin, Ohio, attended Oberlin College and later taught at Emerson Institute in Mobile, Ala., and in high schools in Chattanooga, Tenn. and St.Louis, Mo. She married Atty. Gustavus Woodson Wickliffe in Los Anegeles in 1901, but made her home in San Francisco until 1908 when the family moved back to this city. She was a member of the AKA sorority, the Women's Political Study Club and Mount Hollywood Congregational Church, from which she was buried April 18.
