Saw this in MSM, did not see a NamUS case file.

Phoenix police are using new imaging technology to try to identify a body that was found more than a decade ago.

The man's body was found in a field near Southern and 13th avenues on April 7, 2001.

The victim was described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing green jeans, a purple and black jacket, plaid shirt and a cloth necklace.

Long detailed lists of tattoo's and several photo's of tat's. Maybe someone can carry some of the tat photo's over? In case the link is not working at some point in the future.

COD is sadly an OD.

Hoping this information is recognizable to someone and he gets his name back soon.

Mind you, the sketch above is clean-shaven but Namus says he had a brown beard and a mustache.

he has fairly large and colorful tattoos, and he seems well dressed in Mexican style. this seems like it could be solvable. what did he OD on? my guess would be cocaine? was he transporting it over here from mexico?

Does Mexico have the equivalent of Websleuths or Doenet or NAMUS?

Some of those tattoos are so recognisable. The doenet pictures show they are most likely store done tatts, unfinished the jack in the box one maybe?

Not much new info on this case here, but an interesting article and details on other UIDs.

[h=2]WHEN IT COMES TO SOLVING COLD CASES, TATTOOS CAN BE MORE EFFECTIVE THAN DNA[/h]http://www.inkedmag.com/articles/disappearing-ink/

....That was true of the handsome, clean-shaven, 30ish, well-dressed man found facedown in a vacant lot in a sketchy section of Phoenix in 2001. Dead of a drug overdose, he carried no ID, but his romantic history seemed to have been permanently etched all over his body—clues to an elaborate life story, if anyone could decipher it.....

Good tool have I not seen mentioned. I'll put this on the tattoos thread. Search over 400K tattoos that have been uploaded at www.checkoutmyink.com.

Height is off and weight is a little bit off too. His age is 28 however, because it says that the UID died of an overdose, drugs can make you look older than your actual age, soooo u never know

Another thing is that it doesn't note that Jaime had any tattoos so that could maybe be a rule out.
