Identified! Canada - Toronto, Ont, LIVING white woman, Sep'12 - Linda Hegg

It’s been two months since Linda appeared in a Toronto shelter with no idea who she is or where she came from.

Toronto police are again asking people throughout the country to look at Linda’s picture to see if they recognize her and can fill in the blanks.

The woman, who police have estimated is between the ages of 55 and 60, walked into a downtown Toronto shelter on Sept. 5, claiming to know nothing other than her first name.

Since then, the only major piece of information Linda has told investigators has to do with Barrington St. and Spring Garden Rd., a busy intersection in Halifax.

Police said she was well dressed and well manicured, and can't remember anything about her past.

But in recent interviews, she mentioned Halifax, specifically the intersection of Barrington Street and Spring Garden Road.

Police describe her as a white woman with blue eyes and straight blonde shoulder-length hair. She stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and is believed to be between the ages of 55 to 60 years old.


Linda showed up at the shelter wearing a dark blue jean jacket, black Capri−style pants, black slip−on shoes, a pink bandana, white ankle socks, glasses with light brown frames and a pink watch.

"It's a unique case. It doesn't occur all the time," said Vella, adding that they are sharing her photo to broaden their search.

"Our greatest resource right now is the media and the public," said Vella, urging anyone with tips to contact the police.

"Someone out there must know who she is."
