What do the letters stand for?

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but does anyone know what do the letters "BYS" and "B.V.G." stand for?

I have noticed two separate cases of unidentified persons with these letters tattooed on their arms and I would like to know what the two men have in common.

The photos of the tattoos are the same for both cases which cannot be right, but I checked another source and the discription of the tattoos is correct.

I think it is blessed virgin guadalupe. Worshiping "guadalupe" is common in Mexico. IIRC it is another name for Mary.

Thanks. That fits, as one of the individuals is Hispanic.
I was searching for possible meanings for BVG and found "Bless your soul" among them. This goes along with the spiritual line.

BVG - Short for Beckett Vintage Grading, a division of Beckett Grading Services. I am not familiar with baseball so I have no idea what that means.

For what it's worth, I emailed one of the NamUs regional administrators listed for these cases a year ago to ask why the photographs were identical on NamUs.

She replied that she would try to get to the bottom of it. The images have been corrected, but the tattoo description remains cross-posted, although with different wording.

Doe Network lists NamUs as their source for Case 2129UMIN. My guess is that the confusion has somehow been propagated and the tattoo photographs actually belong to Case 622UMGA since the stickers in the images say "Fulton County ME."

I too believe the photos belong to Case 622UMGA, since the body doesn't appear to be of a Black male. The different wording had me thinking the descriptions are correct, though. I think you are right about the propagated confusion, I just wish we knew for sure.
