    Prison Tattoo Field Guide Link

Found this link on a website. It illustrates different prison tattoos. I did not see the link already posted on WS. I wasn't sure where to put this-Carl or other mods-please move this post to another location if you deem it necessary. Here is the link:

I've been working on cataloging tattoos of missing persons to cross reference with those of the unidentified and this really gives a better understanding of some of the tattoos I have been seeing over and over. The information on gang affiliated tattoos will definitely help when cataloging these tattoos as I can denote suspected gang affiliation, which may help explain some of their disappearances and give a starting place of where to look for UID's. Thanks for the post!

The walking hand giving the bird is a symbol for the Galloping Goose Motorcycle Club. Not sure if it's relevant, but it's worth looking into.

Here is her NamUs; she actually had ID
Victim was struck and killed by a car while crossing I-35 E in Lake Dallas, TX on June 15, 1983. Victim had identification with name Dewayne V. Honey. This id has never been confirmed and may be an alias.

Doe Network lists NamUs as their source for Case 2129UMIN. My guess is that the confusion has somehow been propagated and the tattoo photographs actually belong to Case 622UMGA since the stickers in the images say "Fulton County ME."
Your 2nd NamUs link has been identified. Do you remember if it was the man in Georgia? Case File 622UMGA - he is not listed in NamUs

1973 Male (11-20) Florida: Right mid-arm has a horizontally-oriented scroll with indistinct letters "AM.....". At left mid-forearm, posteriorly, initials "T.K." Right thumb web has a 5-pointed star. On left thumb web a bluish round spot.
    https://identifyus.org/en/cases/1343

The T.K. with the five pointed star is for the gang The Latin Kings. I used to counsel some of the Latin Kings in prison and that is what they have on them, sometimes they put it on their face under their eye and also on the hands.

Also especially if they are hispanic the number 13 signifies the MS-13 gang.

If this person was in a gang, his family may already know that he is deceased. Perhaps people are afraid to step forward and claim his body, if they fear retaliation. They may fear that getting involved will do no good. Also, sometimes people are aware of their family members being deceased but they do not claim their bodies if they are broke. I'm not saying that that is the case here but it is a possibility.

    Not entirely true ...
13 also represents the 13th letter of the alphabet : the M. The "13" tattoo is used a lot by the Mexican Mafia (EME) because of that. Especially with 3 dots around it, representing Prison, Hospital or Cemetery.

The two hands shaking symbolizes brotherhood and is Masonic. The "sun" is probably the "all seeing eye" which is often depicted above the shaking hands. If its an old tattoo and the inking bled, it would be easy to mistake the radiant eye for a sun. So, this man was a Mason and may have belonged to the local Masonic Lodge near to where he was found.

Although he is listed in the case file as race/white, he may have been Hispanic as this was a largely Hispanic neighborhood in 1966.
