Every year in Canada, nearly 50 thousand children are reported missing—and not all of them are found.

On Monday, The Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC) launched a new program called ‘CodeSearch’, aimed at alerting more people when a child is lost, since an Amber Alert does not apply in every case.

With CodeSearch, corporations sign on as partners, and their employees can help track down children thanks to an app on their smartphones.

At least more attention is being placed on missing children. Now if they can finally get the DNA databases going.........
