Police received a call from Exeter Hospital last Wednesday to report the extensive injuries to the boy, who police said has lost his sight because of the head injuries he suffered.

"There were significant second-degree burns on the child, on the arms and the wrist injury. You could see that visibly," said Plaistow Police Lt. William Baldwin. "There was a significant amount of bruising on the body, all over the body -- some new, some old."

On Friday, police got arrest warrants for the child's mother, Jessica Linscott, and her boyfriend, Roland Dow
 
This poor little guy. It breaks my heart! How can people do these things? Praying he will feel love and comfort in the arms of the hospital staff caring for him.
 
I'm so glad to see this here. I wanted to post but didn't know how to start a thread.

Supposedly this child has had broken bones before. I can't believe the cowards are running. They need to pull up their big people underwear and take responsiblity for their actions.
 
Dear God how can anyone do this to another living human being let alone a child? Poor little boy.


Rolan Dow's Uncle speaks out at link. He lets all know Roland Dow has his own daughter who he has never harmed. And? So he up and left her and is a fugitive who is innocent?

um, wow, I am trying to figure out how to comment on the mugshots while remaining in TOS. Interesting looking couple. They seem like an odd pairing. I'll leave it at that.
 
Toys, gifts donated to 3-year-old burned boy in NH

Has picture of this cute little boy from before...I'm so glad the boy is recovering and people are making sure he will have a nice holiday....also says a financial fund is set up for him....

As for appearances to me he looks kind of imbecilic and she has those blank, staring eyes we see so much....I'm a little concerned that it says he is being cared for by his grandmother, which I assume is the mother's relative....so many times they give in and let the parent visit and bad things happen...hopefully this one will be enjoying the 'jail life' for a lengthy period tho....

BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to up to 67 years in prison for beating and burning his girlfriend's 3-year-old son, then going to the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.

Twenty-eight-year-old Roland Dow and the boy's mother were arrested at the amusement park in November 2012, two weeks after leaving the boy at a hospital with a brain injury, head-to-toe bruises and burns on his arm and hand.

Dow was convicted in June of 11 charges alleging he assaulted the boy, failed to get medical help, coached him to lie and secretly recorded a social worker's visit.

Dow was sentenced Thursday to 25 1/2 to 67 years in prison. The boy's mother, Jessica Linscott, is serving 2 1/2 to 7 years in prison for child endangerment and witness tampering.

I hope and pray her parental rights were terminated and this little boy has a home that is filled with love. CPS : Please don't try to reunite them.
