Body found near missing man's car near Mt. Spokane

Authorities confirm they have found a body near where missing Spokane Valley resident Sam Counts' car was located near Mt. Spokane Friday afternoon.

The medical examiner will confirm whether or not the body found Friday afternoon is that of Counts, 71, who disappeared a week ago, however deputies believe that it is in fact Counts

I thought it was well worth mentioning; journalists inspired by the case of Samuel made it into the finals of the prestigious Investigative Reporters and Editors Awards (IRE Awards). They are for the year 2013, but are actually to be presented June 28th 2014, in San Francisco.

It was for an article called Wandering:

Although they did not win, I think they deserve congratulations for shedding light on such an important issue. I'm trying to find their orginal articles. They were published June 18-22 2013 by Investigate West. The journalists are:
    Jason Alcorn
    Robert McClure
    Daniel Kopec of KTS-Seattle
    Ruby de Luna of KUOW-Seattle

I found this. I don't know what's happened to the Investigate West news site though - it's just coming up as bad gateway when I search. I hope it hasn't closed.
