Susan Rice Withdraws her name for Secretary

I was going to post this in the political thread but it's closed. Alls I have to say is what a classy lady.

In a letter to President Barack Obama, she said "the confirmation process would be lengthy, disruptive, and costly -- to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities. That trade-off is simply not worth it to our country."

It's almost been a year since we did our last show.Jay Bush my partner has been auditioning for the show Shark Tank and so this has put the show on hold. If he gets on Shark Tank, we will be terribly delayed. Good luck Jay. Either way we will one day continue the show and have the coolest global independent radio station out there. This is just a small video we did with one of our artists.Waiting for One and their tune 35 years. Check it out.

The Benghazi cover up, including - lying to the media and American Public may have something to do with the he confirmation process becoming lengthy, disruptive, and costly.

Apparently, there was cause for alarm when Senator Collins was concerned after listening to Amb Rice's version of events.

Moving on to see who is next...it's such a critical position.

You know as I read the news of this yesterday I thought when did we hear that she was even up for this position. (Benghazi) Do we really know that her name was even on the list? Or are the powers that be just letting us think she was a candidate. Where is this list?jmo
It's my opinion if no link provided.

There's comments now being said that maybe she'll be the new National Security Advisor.

I guess she's not happy with being the UN Ambassador...guess Obama's trying to find a perfect spot for her? I know she's supposed to be well educated, etc....I guess I'll have to review her experience to see why she's so key to some of these top positions that would show her to be "the one" for these jobs. Quite a variety of proposed positions.

I wonder if this little tidbit will now be swept under the rug, I'm sure this didn't help.

A liberal group launched an online petition Friday demanding that potential secretary of State nominee Susan Rice divest herself of “every dollar of stock” in the Canadian company seeking approval for the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline to the Gulf Coast.

The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations owns between $300,000 and $600,000 in TransCanada Corp. stock, according to her financial disclosure forms. The pipeline needs approval from the State Department before it can go forward.

I hadn't followed Rice's situation real closely in the last 2 weeks or so, but I knew there were a few new issues that had come up about her past and financial dealings were mentioned.

When watching Fox earlier this morning, they had Judith Miller and Kirsten Powers on to talk about this. It was Judith Miller who said she's been very critical of the Administration's handling of the entire Libya attack situation, and actions since then, but that she felt the personal attacks against Rice were uncalled for - and went on to say that she was shocked by the LIBERAL media attacks (journalists, she specifically mentioned) that have been so personal.

I'm not aware of what the liberal journalists have attacked her about. I have read about criticisms of her actions in the late 1990's, but I'm just reading along not knowing a lot of the context. Foreign affairs is not a strong point for me, LOL
