The remains of Dorothy Eyvonne Rosier of Pineville, missing for almost three years, have been positively identified after hunters in LaSalle Parish found them last month, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office.

Rosier was reported missing in January 2010. At the time of her disappearance, all of her possessions were left behind, according to Town Talk files.

Detectives both with the LaSalle and Rapides parish sheriff offices are investigating Rosier's case as a homicide, according to a release. Hunters near Trout found the remains Nov. 21. She was positively identified last week with the help of the Louisiana Repository for Unidentified and Missing People FACES lab at LSU in Baton Rouge.

Paul Jackson, the man convicted of manslaughter last month for the 2010 killing of missing Pineville woman Eyvonne Rosier, will spend the next 25 years in prison...

At his sentencing hearing today, a RPSO Detective said Jackson finally admitted to “choking” Rosier to death after her remains were found three years after her disappearance. Rosier was living with Jackson at the time of her death. He was the boyfriend of her late mother.
