Heather Marie DuPriest has been missing from San Antonio, TX since March 28, 2007. I've seen her mentioned here and there in reference to a few UIDs (and ruled out, to my knowledge), but noticed she does not have her own thread here.

They all say that there aren't details available and foul play is a possibility. I have a hypothesis about the origin of her disappearance from the results of a Google search of her full name; however, I believe the type of website that has given me this idea is disreputable and therefore am hesitant to throw my ideas around based on what could be bad info. :waitasec:
Regardless, I'd like to bring a little attention to her case. She's been gone five, going on six years. Where is Heather?

It looks like Heather's uncle was on a children's TV show called "Captain Gus" that ran on Texas TV in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Her uncle's role was a character called "First Mate Mortimer". The show appears to be similar to Captain Kangaroo.

Here is a photo of Heather (back row on the left in the white blouse) and family from her uncle's site.

I was wondering if Heather was officially "found." I know her sister well, and she stated one time that her sister committed suicide then told me and another friend that she was brutally murdered and her body was torn apart when she was found. I googled her name curious and it says she is still missing, so I am confused. Is there a possibility that the tx department of transportation wrong, or is she still missing and her sister is just upset by it and is having a hard time coping?

:wagon: to Websleuths, forthe!

Thanks for joining us in Heather's thread. :seeya:

Interesting info on the differing stories you've been told. Wow!

I called Texas DPS this morning (512-424-5074 or 1-800-346-3243) and spoke with an investigator. Heather's case is still ACTIVE.

If anyone has any information to share with them PLEASE call and talk to TxDPS. You may remain anonymous.

Wow, so strange her sister would tell something like that...I hope Heather will be located soon.

Heather was my best friend and i've never heard anything about a suicide or her being torn apart. I can guarantee you she did not commit suicide (trust me). The last time I spoke with her a couple days before she went missing she told me she wasn't in a "good place" in her life at that time. She had just been evicted from her apartment, and had many things going on. When the jane-doe was found in san antonio off austin hwy, we braced ourselves for the worst as we waited to hear back as they tried to match the dna and dental records. And as we all know now, it was not Heather. I had run across this thread so many years ago, checking it often since, and every time it's surreal to see this is actually about her. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. As years go by, not one lead, not one word, not anything. Breaks my heart.

:wagon: to Websleuths and thank you for sharing your information on Heather, your best friend. Great to see your post!

Yes, she had married him right as he was joining the military. He had no idea what had happened to her, he had been gone when she went missing.
