New year, new meteor shower peaks this week

The new year promises to kick off with quite a light show. The Quadrantids meteor shower will peak this week, treating viewers to a shooting star display that should be visible under clear night skies.

For those who donít choose to brave the cold for the early morning hours on Jan. 3, when the Quadrantids will be on view, the light show will be streaming live on NASAís website.
