A Frankfort man who was a business partner of the popular YouTube video channel personality dubbed "FPSRussia" was found shot to death last week at their firearms business in Carnesville, Ga., a sheriff there said Tuesday.

This happened to catch my eye as my husband has seen a few of their videos and shown some of them to me.

An operator of a highly popular YouTube channel dedicated to high-powered guns and explosives was found mysteriously shot to death, authorities said.

Keith Ratliff, who was a business partner at FPSRussia, YouTube's ninth most popular channel with more than three million active subscribers and a combined half billion views, was discovered on a rural road in Carnesville, Georgia.

Ratliff had a single gunshot wound the head and police are treating his death as a homicide.

Investigators aren't positive it's murder, but Keith Ratliff's family in Frankfort says they're sure it is.

Two year-old Jayden Ratliff holds a picture of his dad. It's from Christmas Eve, and it's one of the last photos taken.

"It was really hard. To know that he's going to go the rest of his life without his dad," Amanda Ratliff says.

Kelly Ratliff says his brother always carried a gun to protect himself:

"For him not to pull out that gun and try to defend himself, he had to feel comfortable around somebody. Either that or he was ambushed."

Keith's family says they won't stop pressuring investigators to figure out what happened.

In this article it says he was shot once in the head and had been dead for awhile. No forced entry and LE not so sure it was murder. His wife and child lived in another state, maybe he was depressed around the holidays.

I have a feeling you are right. Heck, I get the blues this time of year and I have everything to be happy for! I imagine he must have been going thru quite a lot emotionally. Divorce sucks, especially with little ones.

They are calling it murder now:

The man's death is being investigated as a homicide, Mike Ayers of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed to FoxNews.com.

"He [Ratliff] did sustain a gunshot wound that was not self-inflicted," Ayers said, adding that "robbery does not appear to be the motive."

It sounds like there were several guns close by the body but none of them were the murder weapon. LE says the case is "progressing", hopefully it will be solved soon.

LE is in Kentucky now, the weapon was NOT at the scene. They HAVE person's of interest...

"No arrests have been made, but we have people of interest associated with the victim and they are being interviewed at this time. That's basically all we can release at this time," he said.

I wonder if the murder was related to custody issues. He was separated from his wife and child at the time.

He was in fact going through a divorce and they were fighting over custody issues. His estranged wife that has been shown on the news sporting a picture of him from a previous marriage, did in fact have a boyfriend at the time of Keith's death. She also had not let Keith see his child in almost a year. The investigation is still on going and I pray they find the person or persons responsible for taking the love of my life away from me!

There were no signs of forced entry or struggle at FPS Industries Global LLC in Carnesville after Ratliff’s body was discovered on Jan. 3, 2013, leaving the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to believe Ratliff was killed by someone he trusted...

Surveillance equipment and firearms were among the items stolen during the crime.
