As for the R's, they had a sense of entitlement from day one. Unfortunately the BPD was afraid of their law team and the investigation was swayed from day one by their inexperience and fear.

What I truly can not understand, is how ML could justify the cost of extraditing JMK back to CO, without first running an inexpensive DNA test. :furious:

Only one thing I disagree with. Although the crime scene and events of that morning were handled appallingly, I wouldn't say the BPD were afraid of the their law team.

Lets not forget that there is a possibility that certain people within the DA's office knew there was a deceased child in the house prior to JR "finding" her. If this is true, then the BPD were never going to gain proper control of that murder investigation.

Having said that though, I do feel that the BPD was not without their finks. I blame Koby for a lot of what went wrong in the first year after the tragedy.

Not to change the subject, but I was reading some of the older posts yesterday. I came upon something quite interesting that I had forgotten about. On Dec. 17th Patsy called JB's Dr. 3 times within an hour after 5:00 pm when his office had been closed for the day.
What was the urgency of the call? Had something happened to JB? I tried to go back and think of events around that time. I know JB was in a Christmas parade, the tour of the house was held, and the 23rd was when she said she didn't feel pretty, and the 24tb JB was supposedly in her room not feeling well most of the day. Just what happened on the 17th that PR made those 3 phone calls within one hour.

I never did understand how he could have made a slip like that. I could see the possibility of looking at a watch and thinking 12:55 looked like 11:05, but I highly doubt this innocent explanation applies here.

Maybe it was as simple as you thought, Nom de plume, in that JR mistook the reading on his watch! The havoc of the situation might have allowed for that if his watch face was not one that has a simple, clear reading, but rather has dots or even none, where the individual time marks normally are. That simple premise could create reasonable doubt for a jury.

As far as the DA's office knowing about JB's body being in the house - please say it ain't so! Waaayy too much criminal activity to consider. But, Hunter did have connections to Ramsey's law firm through outside business holdings. Collusion would have been a possibility.:sick:

None of us are dumb enough to believe anything about cell phones or records just disappearing. That all takes human activity, and powers that be to make those things happen. Crooks and cronies are responsible - I'd stake my retirement on it! :curses:

JR makes a time mistake, misreading his watch, was he wearing one? Presumably he knew what the time was when he made his failed flight request?

Remember JR tapping his feet, and moving nervously, he would be well aware that the ransom deadlinen had expired, i.e. he was very much alert to the passage of time.

Surely everyone in the house knew when midday had come on gone, i.e. JonBenet was definitely found after midday?

Did Fleet White see JR checking his watch after he found JonBenet?

I have also wondered why Melinda and SL got married. He had to have either been satisfied with how things lay concerning the investigation, or he is protecting someone for a different reason. Either way VERY interesting!

Eleven o'clock would have been just about the time John Ramsey temporarily vanished from the sight of Detective Arndt, when she thought he had gone out to get the mail. I recalled how Arndt described the marked change in his behavior after he came back, silent, brooding and nervous.

Under those circumstances, any investigator would have to assume that Ramsey might have found the body on his private walk through his home and not when he and Fleet White went to the basement a few hours later.

Thanks, and this meeting takes place not long after JonBenet had been found, and JR had been denied his interstate flight. That is between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM.

So JR knows he found JonBenet in the afternoon, the 11:00 AM time must relate to something important to him.

8:00 AM to 10:00 AM is the ransom note instruction period, so once this had elapsed JR should have been getting nervous.
