Court records: Man repeatedly shot 4-year-old girl with pellet gun

A 26-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly tied up his 4-year-old stepdaughter and shot her more than 36 times with an Airsoft pellet rifle, according to court documents.

Court papers say the pain inflicted on the girl was "the equivalent of that produced by torture."

The case came to light when the little girl's grandmother noticed red dots all over her body and asked the girl what had happened.

The girl told police that her mom left the house when Tedder was shooting at her with the gun because "she doesn't want to hear her cry," court documents say.

Child Protective Services removed three children from the home.

The child said Tedder would use duct tape and zip ties to restrain her ankles and wrists behind her back, according to court records. Investigators described the restraint technique as being hog tied.

The girl described other punishments.

She told a child interview specialist that she once was tied up and made to pick up her messy room with her teeth.

She also described being made to sit with her back to a wall without a chair until a timer would ring, a position designed to cause pain in her legs.

Why the heck wasn't the mother charged as well? She left while he shot her daughter because she didn't want to hear her cry?? She should be charged as well.:furious:

I'm glad the children have been taken away from these evil people so they won't have to suffer anymore. I hope they were placed in a loving home where someone will care for them tenderly and give them the proper type of guidance. These so called parents need to lose their children and spend some time in jail.
 
For starters we need to zip tie his butt up naked ,shoot him with a pellet gun making sure to aim for down below until he screams for his mama and then proceed from there :furious:...........

We MUST start charging the enabling parent in these cases! This has to be done in every jurisdiction in all states in this country!

Sometimes I believe that more people are charged and don't get away with cruelty to animals - but cruelty to children they are not sufficiently punished. The cruel stepfather needs to be behind bars for a long time. He should also be banned from being in a home with children. The girl's mother is a gutless coward without compassion, for leaving this poor child who was being tortured. Prison for her too. I hope the children are placed where they will get the love and protection they deserve.
 
I read this a couple nights ago and had to log off. Mothers! What kind of "mother" walks out of the house to avoid hearing her precious little child screaming? :furious:

I'll refrain from posting my thoughts about the jerk (that's putting it mildly...he's no man so I won't call him that) that did this to her because I don't want a TO.

IMHO, she is just as guilty as the step-jerk is. That precious baby girl was her responsibility! WAS being the right word since the 3 children have been removed from her care. I pray they are in a loving home right now.

A 26-year-old Lynnwood man was charged Thursday with second-degree assault of a child for allegedly shooting his 4-year-old stepdaughter multiple times with an airsoft pellet gun and allegedly ‘hog-tying’ her by tying her hands behind her back as a form of punishment.
 
This is no 'mother'....for a real mother the male person is not more important than her own child....she should never get custody again after allowing him to torture her child...thank goodness for the grandmother taking action...this child would have been killed eventually...she was targeted by him deliberately...IMO
 
I just saw on the local news that although Tedder has been arrested and charged, "mom" now has a restraining order against him. What about charges against HER?!?
 
I am sure we will hear that she suffered from abuse herself and can't be held responsible for not protecting her child.

Same old Tired excuse. I'm not responsible. I couldn't stop it. Etc. Etc. Etc.

The only reason she should have walked out of the house was to call the police to come get his sorry butt - right after I knocked his butt out.

She's as sorry as he is. Abused or not! :moo: I have suffered abuse too, but no one is going to hogtie my precious baby and shoot him with a pellet gun. NO ONE!
