TX - Suspect robs couple, rapes woman, then shops for children's items Houston
ABC13 Eyewitness News
(02/21/05 - HOUSTON) — Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for your help finding a man wanted for rape and robbery. The suspect was caught on camera using one of his victim’s credit cards.
The attack happened at the Green Tree Place apartments on Dunson Glen Drive at about midnight on Saturday, February 12. A couple was on their way home, just steps away from their front door when they found themselves victims of a violent crime.
It appears the attacker saw his opportunity and took it. As the husband and wife approached the apartment, the man appeared from nowhere and forced them inside at gunpoint. He robbed them of their cash and credit cards. But the attack wasn’t over yet. The man then sexually assaulted the female victim and fled.
A short time later the suspect was caught on surveillance tape at a nearby Wal-mart where he used the couple’s credit card to make purchases.
Detectives want to catch the guy before he uses his gun.
"Any time that the suspects are armed like that, there is always a potential for violence. And although the victims were not shot or injured with the weapon in this case, there is always that possibility," said Sgt. Bryan Pair of the Harris County Sheriff’s Department.
The man purchased about $100 worth of children’s items – including a car seat and children’s videos. If you know anything about this man, you are urged to call Crime Stoppers 713-222-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?
