From that link
The police have said that Sweeney left her Second Street residence in Dartmouth on foot to visit a friend on Lakecrest Drive, which is just a short distance away.
“It’s a very short walk, you’re talking a five or 10 minute walk at the most,” said Cst. Bourdages
There's a Facebook group for her "Thinking of Donna Lee Sweeny"

From Summer Breeze's like above:
“It’s a very short walk, you’re talking a five or 10 minute walk at the most,” said Cst. Bourdages. “Unfortunately she left her residence around noon on Feb. 3 and we were only contacted in the middle of the night, early morning of the 4th, so more than 12 hours after. At the time there was a big snowstorm going on in Halifax, we got almost 25 centimetres. Although we had canine on the scene to try to follow a track, it was very hard because of the weather conditions.”
I pray she didn't get caught up in the storm. It was VERY cold!

Missing Woman - Police Seek Public’s Help
Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Dartmouth woman.
Forty-five-year-old Donna Lee Sweeny has not been seen since noon yesterday, February 3. She left her Second Street residence on foot to go visit a friend on Lakecrest Drive but never arrived. Donna is a white woman, 5'6”, 180 lbs., brown eyes, short black hair and wears black rimmed glasses. She was last seen wearing a black winter jacket and beige boots.
There is no information to suggest that Donna has met with foul play; however, she suffers from a medical condition and requires daily medication, and it is out of character for her to be out of contact with friends and family. Officers request that Donna or anyone with information on her whereabouts calls police at 490-5020.
