Not sure if this is the right forum but the 2yo in question was beaten to death by the ex-boyfriend of the mother.

The body of Ranasia Knight was just one of four found badly decomposed at the Gundel Funeral Home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania after the funeral director had promised to cremate their bodies.

The young girl died in an emergency room on January 12 and at first her heart-broken mother, Jessica Bachman, thought the girl had fallen down some stairs.

But two days later, Bachman's former boyfriend, Lester Johnson, admitted to punching and kicking the young girl, leaving her blind in one eye and fatally injured. He was arrested.

OMG, the poor baby to be abused in life and death! I hope the BF rots in jail and the funeral home loses its license...

RIP little Ranasia...

I do not understand why the mother has not been charged yet!

A 2-year-old Lancaster girl sustained at least seven separate blows — to the head and stomach — in a fatal 2013 beating, according to trial testimony.

Prosecutors allege Lester Johnson beat Ranasia Knight on Jan. 11, 2013, and didn’t summon help until the next morning. Johnson, boyfriend of Knight’s mother, is on trial this week in Lancaster County Court, charged with homicide and related counts.

President Judge Dennis Reinaker will decide the case. Johnson, 32, opted for a nonjury trial. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to cease pursuit of the death penalty.

Courtroom erupts when man is convicted of 3rd-degree murder in child's death

A Lancaster man was convicted Thursday afternoon of third-degree murder regarding the 2013 death of 2-year-old Ranasia Knight.

The courtroom erupted as Lancaster County President Judge Dennis Reinaker announced that Lester Johnson was not guilty of first-degree murder, but guilty of third-degree murder: a killing done with malice, but without premeditation.

Spectators in the gallery verbally sparred - including exchanges of threats - and Johnson wrestled out of his seat, prompting five sheriff deputies to escort him out of the room.

About a dozen other deputies broke up altercations in the gallery and escorted about 20 individuals outside.
