    She's been found deceased.

Police found the body of 23-year-old Neala Frye on Sunday night in a ditch near the spillway in Onalaska. It's a marshy area near the end of Irvin Street.

The article also goes on to say LE does not suspect foul play at this point.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this.

I think the only reason the friend found in the alley did not also die of hypothermia is that she was found before that occurred.

IMO it seems like they were both drugged. I am left with a huge question mark over my head as to WHY if neither was robbed or assaulted. What motive?

If there were drugs found in her system but that wasn't the cause of death, would they release this to the media?

Wolf Dreamer, I don't know how to double quote but yes those comments were interesting. Wish we could discuss them...

A scholarship fund honoring University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student Neala Frye will benefit students for decades.
    How awesome!

    http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/opi...9bb2963f4.html

UW-La Crosse has had more than its share of tragedies involving alcohol. A string of students over more than a decade have drown in one of the area's rivers while intoxicated late at night.

For years, talk of a possible serial killer persisted. But an FBI investigation pointed to a much more pervasive culprit: excessive drinking leading to accident death.
Frye's friends told the La Crosse Tribune she wasn't one to get drunk at an unfamiliar bar without her friends, especially while working. Some details of that night remain unclear. She was clearly a bright and talented student which only makes her fate more chilling.
