A Castroville man is missing with a 10-month old boy after a report of possible child abuse, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said today. Deputies were called to a residence in Castroville on Saturday on a report of possible child abuse, but could not locate either the suspect, Jesus Vargas Espinoza, 47, or 10-month-old Angelle Jenisis Negron

On Feb. 3, Espinoza contacted the grandmother, Pompey Morales, and asked to keep the child for an additional three days.

On Saturday night, Espinoza's daughter called Morales and told her that she "was no longer going cover for her dad and that the family never went to Disneyland." The child was not dropped off at her grandmother's home Sunday as previously agreed to with the elder Espinoza.

RIP Little angel....I was praying for a different outcome.

I am wondering if the child endangerment call came from his daughter, since she no longer wanted to cover up for her father, maybe she suspected something. I feel for this family...just 10 months old. So sad so senseless. JMO
