I drove over kholo creek bridge yesterday (do quite often cos I live nearby) and I REALLY can't see how GBC could have thrown poor Alison's body over the bridge. Can anyone shed some light? That is an 80 km/hr main road and the bridge is at the bottom of a hill and I always find people speed and tailgate thru that section. So cars would have been approaching the bridge fast. Second it's not a windy approach to the bridge so it's not as tho the bridge is tucked around a corner hidden from view. Third if he'd parked on the bridge got out of car then taken Allison out of car it all would have taken at least 2 minutes on a bridge that us well used, has speeding traffic, and surely that would be a very big gamble. Wouldn't it be 'safer' to park the car and trapse thruthe bushes down the side of the bridge. Then go home and wash everything thoroughly and say the small bush scratches were from caterpillars?

This will be the thread where we will find out so much more info!! Hopefully that starts soon with news on why the police were at the house again last night!!

Doidy - if we're assuming that the deeds happened in the middle of the night or the small hours of the morning, then there would have been a very high chance that there would be NO traffic. And at night, because as you point out, that stretch of road is straight, approaching traffic would have been seen and heard long before it got anywhere near.

It would take approximately a minute or a minute and a half to stop, jump out, open the tailgate, drag a body out and roll it over the side of the bridge, close the tailgate, and away, I reckon. Any marks left on the side of the road or edge of the bridge would have been well and truly washed away by all that rain just before the body was found.

The thing that puzzles me though is how she came to be UNDER the bridge, not beside it. Especially if the experts have said that she was NOT washed to her final resting place even on that flood tide - she was ABOVE the water level. Unless a bit of rolling or bouncing put her more under the bridge than straight down beside it...

IMO it is part of the ongoing QPolice investigation, so most likely, QPolice are unable to release information to the public. If they were able to, the media would be all over it.

Bumping this from the previous thread too

"Olivia looked absolutely shell shocked following the first bail application. My impression was she walked in believing in GBCs innocence but walked out with a very different opinion."

I'm afraid I didn't get that impression.
I thought she looked stern, even a bit cranky, but not necessarily shell-shocked, and since that bail hearing she has actively helped GBC to sell the property out from under the Dickies, so I'm afraid, I dont have much faith in the theory that Olivia is possibly no longer a supporter of GBC's innocence.

Funnily enough, I have never believed that she had 100% trust in the fact that her brother was innocent anyhow.
I didn't trust her in the interview, and I cant see why she ran away from the media, across the neighbours yard, if there was nothing to hide.
The BC's have made out that the media were so intrusive, but all I saw was the media being sympathetic, and asking them for any updates and information. I've never before witnessed a missing person case where this was denied by the family and loved ones of the missing person.

MOO of course, and with full respect to everyone elses opinion. We just dont know and thats a fact, :) We soon might get an idea though...

The bridge is a puzzle in itself.
I dont live there, but it sounds like there would have been so many easier places to dump a body, even if you wanted to throw one off a bridge, than that one. Places where you could be more easily concealed, and do the drop off easier.
Then there is the question of him needing the body if he was to claim on the life insurance policies. Really, unless he was confident the cache under the bridge would take someone there, she could have easily been lost forever, into the broader river or just not found.

And then, as doc said, she was found under the bridge. This would have been a very flukey position to finish in had you been dropped from the side. Very unlikely if you rolled, that you would roll across and not down the bank.

I dont have any answers, only questions.... lots of them. It doesn't make much sense.

Just wondering about something now re Allison's body under the bridge. IF she'd been thrown from the bridge, would she would have been thrown horizontally or vertically ??

Going by the video screen shots of where her body was found, it was lengthways along the creek bank. It would take quite a bit of rolling for the body to end up in that position??

I doubt Allison was an agressive person who'd make a scene in public but if TM was worried about a confrontation or intimidation at the conference at what point was she happy to attend? Would the police have interviewed TM's colleagues or attendees to see if she was agitated or scared of entering the conference? That would help her innocence.
If I was in TM's position I would not have attended, to save a situation I wouldn't have cared if I'd lost $1,000 for the conference. It was a professional arena & I would have opted out......unless she knew the coast was clear and she had to attend to look innocent. Oh I'm sure her reaction to Allison's empty seat would have either relieved her or rattled her.
Just baffled about any calls that night between them both.

"no way I'm not going!"
"Go, trust me, I'll make everything OK"

At the risk of offending peoples' sensitivities, Marly-Wiz - I think she would have just been dropped, and perhaps flip-flopped end over end and went a bit diagonally down the bank to her final resting place.

Also the bank there is steep, but the area she ended up on is relatively flat, so it's possible that she was simply rolled over the edge of the bridge, dropped onto the steep bit of bank, and she rolled diagonally with no flip-flopping. There were no broken bones, so maybe she was rolled off the edge a bit closer to the start of the bridge where it's not so high above the ground, and she didn't actually fall very far, and just rolled down to that spot. I seem to recall that rolling down a grassy bank as a kid that if you didn't "steer" yourself, you would tend to go a bit sideways due to shoulders and hips being different widths.

Of course, it's all pure guesswork on our part - did the culprit think they were over the water (middle of the night and dark - very little moon that night)? Was it the intention to get her onto the bank of the creek and not in the creek, so she would be found for insurance purposes?

And why choose that spot, indeed? Of course the area was very familiar to GBC due to the scout camp being just nearby. But there are numerous spots in and around Brookfield, including umpteen properties with easily accessible dams, that would have been closer? Or was that the point - get her further away knowing that a search would radiate out from the BC house and be unlikely to find her for quite some time? But then what about the need for her to be found for insurance claims?

Too many questions, and not enough answers....

Maybe more information in less than three weeks? I really would like to know what the whole Kenmore roundabout thing was all about, for starters....

Obsessor, I couldn't agree with you more.
In fact, to add to your feelings/gut instinct/ call it what you may, my thoughts here immediately spring towards Army training actions.
(Sorry folks when I say Army, I mean Army Reserves and Army in the same breath)
Added to this Army attitude, is another factor.
This particular female appears perfectly adept and at ease with public speaking, including asking the public for financial help. Money especially.
Then there was what appeared a slur campaign against the media.
I would have thought the media would have of great value (if the BC family were innocent) insomuch the media might have been of great benefit in finding Allison's killer. The media consistently spoke of the distraught grieving husband. Very sympathetic.
What I am saying is this: OW appears well versed in public speaking, and achieving her desired results with the right words.
Excepting in that first interview. Nerves and trying to ensure the script was being adhered to. Wonder why that was so. That's just my opinion.
