This man is an assemblyman in NY. He dressed as a black basketball player for a Purim party. Initially he blew off complaints, but has recently issued a public apology.
What makes this story more interesting to me is that earlier in the month, this same lawmaker took issue with an outfit John Galliano was seen wearing. Mr Hikind felt it was similar to Hasidic attire and given Galliano's anti semitic POV, Mr Hikind found the outfit offensive.
In any case, it was a stupid move for a public figure, at least imo.
