Simply unbelievable, what we're seeing these days.

WALL, Pa. —

East McKeesport police said a 24-year-old mother left her 8-month-old baby alone in a wooded area Wednesday evening with only a one-piece on and a bottle of milk.

According to the criminal complaint, Jennifer Cutruzzula told officers she intentionally left the child near Irwin Street in the Borough of Wall because she wanted a "fresh start."

wow. I don't even know what to say. How does one DO that? Just plunk the child you birthed an have taken care of for 8 months in the woods to die and walk away? Good thing those people noticed her odd behavior and the baby was found.

Well she should get a fresh start now but not the one she wanted.

Would it have been legal for her to leave the child in a hospital or police station?

There's a strong hint of defiance in her booking photo.

She'll get a nice fresh start in prison, no doubt.

It appears she has TWO older children. 3-6 years old I think.

Would it have been legal for her to leave the child in a hospital or police station?

I don't think so. It's for "newborns."
That is one of the biggest issues with it.
I wonder about many of the kids... if they would still be alive if their parents had an option to "abandon" them.

Her other facebook:

I think there might have been 1 picture of the 3rd child on the initial facebook... but that's all I saw.
I am actually not sure that isn't just an older picture of the first 2 children.

in her FB photos she appears extremely thin.

jan 4 she was doing just fine

jan 11 she has the best man ever and is happy

no signs of her being overwhelmed from her FB posts

I didn't want to get blasted by any naturally thin members for saying I was leaping but I agree - that was my thought, possible meth problem.

Not, not giving this person a pass, but I found this archived. She wasn't born yet, but her dad it appears took part in torturing a man who later died. It must have been her sister that got punched by the man that died. Also there's a sibling that had an infant that died in 2010.

Clearly there's something wrong with her. I thought she looked like she had an eating disorder because of her hairline. Plus her own mom comments on her picture saying she knows her new boyfriend likes the picture.

Where do these women get men?

Kids get in the way of men. Sooooooooo ya just leave them in the woods.

Were her other kids given backto her. It looks like the little one with dark hair must be taken care of by someone else obviously. New clothing with matching headband. It looks like either a nice birthday cake or toy. The poor baby doesn't appear to have anything fancy or new on.

Just trying to wrap my head around it.

No sane person would just leave a baby in the woods. Dear Lord any animal could have gotten that baby or she could have frozen to death.

Mario Cutruzzula got probation (!) in the torture and beating death of Glenn Colbert in 1986. That's her dad, right?

The other two men involved in this horrific crime each got 10 to 20 years in prison. They're probably free and clear by now. The poor victim was bound to a bed and beaten over a period of five weeks before dying.

Joe, I know it is horrific. Yes, I double checked because I thought it couldn't be him even though everything else added up, and then I saw he was paroled. At first I figured the guy had to have been locked up when she was conceived, but nope. Parole. How about the part was he was the only one that administered medical attention yet he helped bury the man's body?

It's one of those merry-go-round families where everyone is related to everyone else so that's her family. Again I can't excuse anyone leaving an infant in the woods, but I knew something had to be way off in her past.

Possibly and hopefully this has now saved her children including this little doll baby.

There for the Grace of God go I, but I could just imagine my own mother commenting on my posing for my new boyfriend when I had that mess going on. Even though this chick is an adult one would hope the woman would either whoop her tail or get her some therapy or have her commited.

Cutruzzula told police that she was having trouble with her mother and stepfather, and she wanted a "fresh start" and thought she was doing "the right thing," according to a criminal complaint that charges her with endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person.

In court on Thursday, a charge of attempted homicide was added.

"She told the officers on scene that she'd become overwhelmed with the responsibilities and that's why she did what she did," Stroschein said. The woman's brother, Anthony Cutruzzula, had similar comments: "She says she couldn't handle it no more."

video at the link. Just wow. So this woman needs to distance herself from her very unusual family. Like lots of distance, physical and emotional. Scary these people that raised her. Just plain scary.
