TBI is asking for help in identifying this woman. She was found on March 9 in SummitvilleCave, and the body was apparently burned.

The body of the woman was burned. Investigators believe she was murdered and her body dumped.

Currently, the woman's identity has not been determined.

Investigators say she was approximately 4'8" to 5'2" tall, weighed between 100 to 120 pounds, had brown eyes and blonde/auburn coloredhair. She was wearing a black shirt with orange writing and pink bra. Thefemale had no teeth in her bottom jaw, but wore a set of dentures as her topteeth. It is also possible she has a pierce left eyebrow.

Anyone with information about heridentity is urged to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND(824-3463).

snipped...Kristin Helm with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said the autopsy performed Sunday found the woman died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators believe she was killed somewhere else and dumped near the old rock quarry near Summitville Road in Summitville, where the body was found Saturday afternoon.

The victim was also partially burned at the scene
, according to investigators.

Seems to me this has to be someone local to even know where the cave is. But perhaps the person hasn't been reported missing yet?

I wonder if the dentures can be identified somehow?

I agree, it has to be someone local. Its not that far from here, and not 'everyone' knows about the 'caves'.
Summitville is on the way to McMinnville Tn, which has it's own set of crime issues. (they call it McMethville) *no offense to anyone living there without the problem*

So, dentures could be used in identification, yes? And idk if that even gives an approximate age, as there are younger and younger folks with dentures, right?

So sad, hope she is identified soon.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation overnight positively identified the female murder victim found shot and burned in Coffee County as Connie Lou Brown, 51, of McMinnville. She has no fixed street address. At this time, no arrests have been made in the case.

I'm so glad she was identified quickly! I lost track of things for a few weeks, so thanks for all who posted!

Unfortunately, there seem to be no leads in the case:

http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2013/mar/19/no-new-leads-known-in-quarry-homicide/

Sheriff's Investigator Bill Marcom told the Chattanooga Times Free Press (http://bit.ly/145nRlx) no new evidence had surfaced in the death of Connie Lou Brown.

"I wished we had something to go on, but there's nothing new that I know of," Marcom said Monday.

Brown, 51, lived in McMinnville, but had no permanent address, police said.

A preliminary autopsy showed Brown died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.

A family exploring discovered Brown's body March 9 at the quarry, known locally as the Summitville Caves.

The quarry is between McMinnville and Manchester. It is a popular spot with people who ride all-terrain vehicles as well as hikers.

But Marcom said Brown was not dressed for outdoors activities.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said it appears Brown was killed elsewhere and her body was later dumped at the quarry "due to evidence found (and) not found at the scene."

This link will take you to a news article and video about the remains found. This was before she was identified, but it shows the area she was found. It looks creepy as heck. Also, interviews the man who found her. I feel for him.

Next I found this, which is after the remains have been identified as Connie Lou Brown's. There is an interview with her daughter in this video.
