UT - Razor Filled Donuts Used As Part of Scam, Draper

DRAPER, Utah — Draper police arrested two people Monday who allegedly hid razor blades inside doughnuts, ate them, fed them to a co-worker and then tried to make an injury claim against the store where they purchased them.

The two alleged scammers, 39-year-old Carrol Leazer and 35-year-old Michael Conder, purchased the doughnuts at a Smith’s store in Draper on March 6, according to a news release from the Draper Police Department. The two reportedly broke razor blades into small pieces and ate them along with the doughnuts.

Police said the pair also intentionally inserted razor blade pieces into the doughnuts and fed them to a co-worker, who called police after taking a bite. Sometime near 8 p.m. police responded to the incident. Two people there sought medical attention. Their condition is unknown.

The co-worker was cleared of wrongdoing. Police said the charges against the two suspects include a possible assault, based on their decision to feed the dangerous doughnuts to the victim.

The suspects were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and filing a false police report.

Draper police said they have worked closely with Smith’s, and they appreciate their cooperation in the investigation.
It amazes me how sick and twisted people can be.
