WI - Onalaska man charged with abusing his elderly father

According to the criminal complaint, Brian Hoff had been arguing with his 72-year-old father and punched him in the face and the arm multiple times more than a week ago and had also threatened to stab him.

On March 13, Hoff’s father went to the Onalaska Police Department and told an officer he was having trouble with his son. Police say the father told them that they were arguing over his son’s loud singing and that his son wanted his father to tell him that he is a good singer. His son thought he was going to call police, so he unplugged the telephone and took it away from his father so he couldn’t call for help, according to the complaint.

Hoff has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery-elderly person, domestic abuse; three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping-no contact; misdemeanor intimidation of a victim, domestic abuse; and disorderly conduct, domestic abuse.
