(The motel where the young man ran, IIRC, naked and traumatized from...anyone remember the details of that case-the name of the motel?)

I have always thought that the murder of the motel worker (shot inside her car in Lynnbrook) was suspicious. The reason being, this motel was known on those review sites as a place to get services. The 62 year old women had a shady 38 year old Asian boyfriend who has an unspecified warrant out of the Roanoke region of Virginia. He was arrested and charged the very next day. (MAY 2, 2011) right after she was found in her car. The family suspected the "boyfriend."

I always felt there was more to it than a case of DV. Something like her job may have included more than just working 17 years for the motel...even if it was just to turn a blind eye...something stinks about this case.

A list of the Motels/Hotels that the GB4 used and any online research into those locations (LIErotica and UG for example) might yield some clues. And, if any of them had ever worked out of the Capri Motor Inn.

Now, I followed the same type of Inquiry on the Holiday Inn Express and it is managed by a different group- Holiday Inn Ex - Hauppauge, 44 New England Management Company.

If I have time I will do the same for the two Massapequa motels. But, if anyone else gets to it before me that would be excellent.

So far from what I read of a review of the budget inn is
"In the office, there is a bank of security monitors that show the parking lot. Once inside the room, one can't help but notice that there is a mirror that is suspiciously aimed right at the bed. One gets the feeling there's a budding *advertiser censored* industry growing out of this place." lol kinda made me chuckle so thought i would share.

Okay so I found about 50 sex offenders that live all over New York at a budget inn. I was going to post them all but there are too many to post so I started in on how many I could find at the budget inn. I found this guy who's address is RODEWAY MOTOR INN , 400 CARMAN MILL RD , ROOM 105 MASSAPEQUA Nassau New York 11758
But I thought for sure that the budget inn was 400 Carman Mill Rd...and when I googled the address both budget inn and rodeway came up with the same address. Has there been a name change or are they one in the same?

I am by no means saying this guy is the SK or anything...just kind of makes you wonder if the budget inn is housing sex offenders left and right how many where there at the time of MBB voice mail trying to be logged into. And maybe the reason it came from a budget inn and best western is you know these guys have friends that they know...could of been over by a buddy's hanging out? Just a thought.

Yes, the Budget Inn and Rodeway Inn are one and the same. For some reason they are still listed under the Budget name as well as the renamed Rodeway. From reading reviews about these low rent facilities, SOs being "housed" at these types of places seems to be a common complaint. AND, another complaint is that the owners are getting Section 8 funds while crime (drugs, assaults, prostitution, thefts, etc.) runs rampant.

There may be a connection between the "Foot Spa" prostitution arrests and a "clerk" at the Budget/Rodeway Inn. Whose last name is the same as the listed owner (M Patel)

Nassau police also arrested Anil Patel, 33, of Massapequa, a clerk at Budget Inn, who allegedly bought some loot from the couple, including a laptop and video camera. He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

One thing I stumbled on, apparently there is a huge Asian population in Flushing and there have been multiple arrests in the area near the Buget/Rodeway Inn and the Best Western (Massapequa) of Asian woman, from Flushing, for illegal massage at Nail Salons and Foot Spas.

Another thing that stood out was the Red Roof Inn and (IIRC) another sketchy place the Orchid Inn...tons of complaints and negative reviews about both and they appear to be in the same general area as the Budget, Best Western and the Asian "Spas."

Fred & Edna reminded me that MB moved into the basement apartment in the Bangladeshi section of that part of the Bronx. And in 2007, this Anil Patel was arrested for receiving stolen goods at the motel. If you scroll down on that page to "Similar Places," they list both the Budget Inn/Rodeway Inn and the Best Western on Sunrise Hwy.

Well I've googled map all these hotels and looked at them from the street view and the one thing that bothers me is that there are construction sites close to all of them. One right across the street from one hotel that one of the voice mails were called from.
When I get home from work later tonight I will have to do some searching on what years these construction sites were taking place.
Also alarming that each hotel seems to be isolated. Easy to snatch a girl up if you had her walking alone.

The words "'I have friends who can take care of this @#$%" (a threat against Amber Costello's life posted on Long Island Erotic board just weeks before she disappeared) still haunts me. I CANNOT dismiss it as a coincidence. NO WAY. I just can't.

Who are these "friends"? Apparently this poster was referring to a group and not just one. And according to this poster, this group took care of women who had become a problem.

Do I think it is definitely JB and that Shannan was murdered by the same group of men or member of that group? No. I just don't know. But there is no way in heck I can rule that possibility out.

:seeya:JustK! I just wanted to bring these posts over to this thread because they show the connection between at least two of the victims (MBB/MB) and the Super 8 motel.

Possibly even JT because she was last seen working near the PABT. She could've conceivably used the same stroll/motel (if it was open then)to find/service her customers. IMHO

So there's definitely a link between their locations in Manhattan

So 10 months between Barthelemy was arrested and Brainard-Barnes disappeared, both from almost the same location.

The distance between MB and MBB's locations are: 279 ft

Budget inn is approx 1 mile east from the Best Western. The Best Western looks fairly normal when passing by but the Budget Inn (and the other names it has had over the years) has always been a seedy looking place. I've also heard some shady stuff that used to happen there when the nightclub was open next door.

It's called roadway inn now. Read the reviews.

I personally think that those calls were made at pen station and not the garden. I know it's the same address but if the calls were from penn that could have a pretty important link.......a commuter to the city. Times Square is one subway stop away.

Maybe. That would make sense.

I have such a feeling of a cabbie...because I love to parse out the motivation and the feeling of the crimes..

I have been trapped in a car by a bad person...anyone who has been in this situation knows how a car can be like a fight cage, the driver can control the locks, to get in a car..

You either jump in willingly as in a taxi or a ride, or you go in unwillingly...no matter...once you are in, it's quite a different situation...people should be trained to protect themselves in a car if they need to.
