Pitzer ran east across four lanes of traffic and was last seen running toward an area where there is a retention pond that was created when the highway was built.

Well this is bizarre. Wonder if someone could have put something in her drink at the bar to make her act so irrational.

The retention pond is 40 feet deep.
Wow. That seems a bit deep for a retention pond.

Police say they have no reason to doubt the story of the two men Casey was with yesterday morning. They say the men are cooperating.
I wonder if anyone else (a passing motorist, e.g.) saw Casey get out of the car and cross the highway. The story sounds so fishy, IMO. Are there any residences nearby?

"They found her boots in the water and they say the cadaver dogs are hitting on the water but the sonar's not finding anything."
Also fishy ... her boots were IN the water, but not on her feet. How likely would it be that the boots came off after she jumped in the water (assuming she did)? If she intended to commit suicide, then she may have removed the boots first, but why toss them into the water? Did she have a history of depression? Did she and her boyfriend argue, leading to her insistence on getting out of the car?

I'm really not leaning toward Casey jumping in the water herself, unless someone else can confirm that Casey got out of the car and crossed the road alone. Also, IF divers do not find a body in the pond, yet cadaver dogs consistently hit on the water, I'm inclined to believe that she was drowned and then her body was moved to another location ... sure evidence that she was murdered. Does anyone else think that?

The Fox19 article was updated less than an hour ago and it's still saying that Casey's body was found.

Her family says Pitzer's body was found Tuesday afternoon.

Family members, including her sister Kelly Taylor, believe there was no foul play involved.

"Devastating. I feel like I'm in a movie," said Taylor.

Casey's father Gregory Pitzer said it's heartbreaking to hear the news, but they're thankful for closure.
