Investigators are asking for the publics help in finding a San Bruno woman who was reported missing more than a month ago, police said Friday.

Cecilia Zamora, 36, who was reported missing on Feb. 15, may be the victim of foul play, according to San Bruno police.

Her family hasnt heard from her since Feb. 12. Police said she may have been a victim in a previous assault as well.

Zamora is about 5-foot-2 and weighs 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and dyed purple hair.

San Francisco police said she was last seen in San Francisco at a home in the 300 block of Colby Street on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

She was reportedly heading to her cousin’s home in San Bruno, San Francisco police said.

San Bruno police checked that residence and did not find her, San Bruno police said.

Police were then informed that Zamora was possibly the victim of an assault while in San Bruno.

Anyone with information about Zamora and her whereabouts is asked to call San Bruno police at 616-7100 or email sbpdtipline@sanbruno.ca.gov.

this article was posted Sunday, Feb 24th, about a week after Cecilia went missing, but has just about as much info posted as the reports that are coming out today and yesterday.

Authorities identified the body as that of Zamora and found she had suffered a gunshot wound.

Trejo faces 91 years to life in state prison when he is sentenced Sept. 4.

I was just thinking about my friend, Yaya, today and stumbled upon this old thread. She was a truly lovely person with a kind heart. I knew the man who killed her better than I care to admit. He tried to get me to date him before he met poor yaya. He is one of those people who just give you that bad feeling in the pit of your stomach. He was high on PCP when he killed her. What a shame, a terrible waste of life. I feel for her babies, who now have to grow up without a mother. RIP, friend.

PS, sorry to bring back such an old thread. I was just thinking about her.

Oh my Versna......so very sorry for your loss.
