A 64-year-old Chicago woman has been accused of commissioning her teen grandson to kill her husband as he awaited a ride to a dialysis appointment last month.

Janet Strickland was charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery, but was not in court because she is being treated at a hospital for a lung disease, reports citing a Chicago Sun-Times wire.

Police say two men approached 72-year-old William Strickland Mar. 2 outside his home as he was waiting for a ride to his dialysis treatment and shot him.
