Whilst being on Websleuths makes me more aware of what evil there is in the world, it also reminds me that the best people are among us as well.

We just had our first near-drowning of the season in Indy today. I work in a pediatric ICU and this is one of the hardest things we deal with................

This may be a stupid question - but wouldn't they be floating if they drowned?

Isn't it? When my grandfather was in his early 20's he lost three siblings t a amily picnic. No ome talked about it much, but it affected him a very big way his whole life.

I'm very glad they were searching everywhere and not assuming an abduction or they ran away for a bit. I always think back to the kids found in the trunk of their own car right at their home while the community went crazy looking. Have to look at all the likely places and not just assume abduction only. Be open to all possibilities.

RIP to these two young children and peace to their family and friends.

To put it delicately - they would eventually float, but at first, they often sink.
Sounds like they were found fairly quickly.

    So incredibly sad.
