"Germantown police are trying to locate a 33-year-old woman who did not report to work Tuesday and has not been heard from since Monday.

"Detectives issued a missing persons alert for Heather Palumbo-Jones Tuesday night. She is described as 5-foot-8, weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Police said she was missing from 7035 Poplar Avenue, presumably her Germantown residence just east of Madonna Learning Center.

"According to police, the woman has not made contact with family, friends or co-workers. Her house was found secure and her car in the driveway. Her cell phone, purse and keys apparently are missing, police said."

From your link:

She and her husband, Chris Jones, were married in 2004. According to court records, she got an order of protection against him earlier this year. It was dismissed at a hearing on Jan. 16. On Jan. 14, Palumbo-Jones filed for divorce against her husband. On March 1, he also filed for divorce from her.

Two days earlier, on Jan. 14, Palumbo-Jones filed for divorce against her husband. And on March 1, Chris Jones filed for a divorce from his wife.

According to court documents, the husband’s attorney, William Jones, withdrew from the case because Chris Jones sent a letter to his wife impersonating his lawyer. Her attorney, William Bruce, said that Chris was able-bodied but “willfully underemployed.” Bruce also asked that the husband’s divorce petition be dismissed since she had already filed.

In his divorce petition, Chris Jones, who is a pizza delivery driver, asked that the court make his wife pay child support as well as medical care.

Messy stuff, and who does that? File for a divorce after the other party has already filed? Was Chris's attorney in that matter a relative?

Again I ask, where are the children? If he asked for support, does that mean he has them living with him?

Shades of Jacque Waller ...

Her facebook went poof or is it just me?

Open and shut case. Chris now has the location of the body to keep him out of the chair.

We received an email from a man who calls himself a friend of Heather’s for the last twenty years.

It said, “I was on the phone with heather the night she went missing. Chris was there…”

Police say Chris, at this point, hasn’t been named a suspect in her disappearance.

“Definitely heavy hearts,” said Elliot Smalley, the chief of staff for the Achievement School District.

Somewhere in there, we got to know Heather. Every single word that means outgoing, gregarious, friendly? That's Heather. I got to watch part of her journey and the last time we had dinner I was telling her that she should blog or at LEAST do a guest post here. She lost over 150 pounds, you guys. Diet, exercise, sheer determination and energy. Heather also taught in a rough part of town.

BBM

This is a blog from Heather's friend.

If Heather's estranged husband is an alleged abuser and has to be in control, I'm sure his support for her weigh loss didn't last long. It seemed Heather was taking control of her life and becoming her own person. Not to mention filing for divorce. All these put together, does not "sit well" with someone that may be a "controlling" type of person/abuser.

I also thought I read some where that Chris took the kids to school that morning. Why would he even be at the house or did he have the kids the night before?

Hoping that Heather is safe and found soon.
