It’s been more than eight years since a McCalla man disappeared after work one night and police still don’t know what happened to him.

Herman Matthew Gamble, who went by Matt, was last seen leaving the Green Lantern in McCalla June 16, 2004.

Gamble, who was 25 at the time, worked security at the bar on Old Tuscaloosa Highway. He had not packed any of his belongings, his mother said at the time, including insulin he injected twice each day.

<snip>

Gamble is described as a white man standing about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen driving his 1998 silver and red Chevrolet Scottsdale truck.

I’m apparently not the first person to make this association but because Gamble has almost no identitfying info available he still has not been ruled out.

Added to map of missing with vehicles.
Seems like a good case for sonar searches to be done along his route, diabetic and no insulin may be a factor..
One article mentions him being "of highway 216" so somewhere 10-15 miles down that road is where he lived?
No license plate number?
