Police conducted a search this morning in an effort to find evidence of missing Bronx woman Ramona Moore’s whereabouts.

Moore, 35, has been missing since last July. News 12 sources say that she was a tenant at 663 Jefferson Place, the building searched today.

The case has not yet been ruled a homicide.

I can't find much on the background circumstances on Ramona because there was a previous Romona Moore that was missing & later found murdered and ended up in a racial lawsuit, so that one is coming up more in searches.

Our Thanks To Diligent Law Enforcement.

I read the background on this case.
It seems like flimsy case. There was no body so I wonder what type of evidence the D.A has against Nasean Bonnie

Detectives entered a basement in the Bronx and recoiled at the stench and the scene. Lucky, arguably the city’s least accurately named dog, stood ankle deep in raw sewage from a backed-up toilet... “The toilet in the basement had been clogged with half a bag of charcoal,” Detective Malcolm Reiman said this week. “The feces might have rendered some forensic evidence irretrievable”...

Ms. Moore was last seen on July 30, 2012, when she stepped into her small apartment building on Jefferson Place, a stub of a street near Crotona Park, to fetch a mango for her neighbor. She never returned, but was overheard arguing with the superintendent, Nasean Bonie...

Detectives looked hard at Mr. Bonie. Two weeks before Ms. Moore disappeared, officers were called to a fight between him and his wife, who suffered a skull fracture, the police said. Mr. Bonie was charged with assault.

The remains of Ramona Moore were found last week in Orange County — just days before a scheduled hearing in what was the first-ever Bronx murder trial without a corpse.

The recovery of the skeleton does not bode well for Nasean Bonie, 29, a building superintendent long suspected in the July 30, 2012, disappearance of his tenant Moore.

Wow. Just saw this. Funny how justice just sneaks up on ya!

Trial started last month:

A Bronx man charged with murder had his first testimony Thursday. Nasean Bonie is accused of killing his former tenant, Ramona Moore, in 2012.

The main witness and neighbor, Betsy Gonzalez, testified in court saying she saw Bonie carry 10 to 15 black plastic bags the day Moore disappeared.

Unaired portions of a jailhouse interview a Bronx cable news channel conducted with a murder suspect are not protected from disclosure to prosecutors by New York state's Shield Law, an appeals court determined Tuesday...

While the portions of the interview that aired were innocuous and the statements paraphrased by Raimundi indicated no conflict between Bonie and Moore, the First Department panel said Tuesday that, in a circumstantial case like that against Bonie, seemingly inconsequential remarks could have great significance.

"While these statements out of context might seem benign, the People argue persuasively that they are 'critical or necessary' to the People's effort to provide motive, intent, and consciousness of guilty, since they contradict defendant's earlier statements to police," the 5-0 court said in an unsigned ruling.

Bronx superintendent sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing tenant in 2012 amid rent dispute

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/bronx/bronx-super-sentenced-25-years-killing-tenant-article-1.2747395

Nasean Bonie, 30, received the maximum possible time behind bars for the killing of Ramona Moore, a tenant with whom he had a rent dispute.

“You have left a big hole in her family's heart,” Moore’s sister, Nicole Moore, said in a statement read by prosecutors in Bronx Supreme Court.

“You took a mother away from her four kids. Her two older kids knew her mother and loved her dearly but her two younger ones will never know her — especially her baby girl, she was only 3 years old. How do you explain to a child that mommy's not coming back?

“You are a menace to society and you should never be able to see the light of day again.”
