A 58-year-old man has disappeared and officers have not ruled out foul play.

The Williams County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of Williston man Jack Sjol, according to a press release. Sjol has been missing since April 24. Contact the sheriff's office with any information at 701-577-7700.

The Williston Police Department, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, North Dakota Highway Patrol and Northwest Narcotics Task Force are assisting in the investigation.

Interesting that a Narcotics Task Force is assisting. Couldn't find any articles that mention the circumstances related to how it was discovered he was missing, who saw him last, etc.

The trial for a man charged with murder in the shooting death of a Williston rancher is set to begin Tuesday in the Ward County Courthouse in Minot.

Prosecutors believe Ryan Lee Stensaker, 33, of Williston shot 58-year-old Jack Sjol with a .300 caliber rifle in the head and chest in April of 2013. It’s possible that it was a hit ordered by the outlaw motorcycle gang the Sons of Silence, according to earlier pre-trial testimony in the case, although the victim’s family doesn’t believe it’s true...

Stensaker was one of six people originally charged in connection with the murder.
