Who abducted Michigan mom Jessica Heeringa?
A silver Town & Country minivan may hold the key to solving the mystery: Who abducted Jessica Heeringa?
It has been one month since the young mother vanished from a Norton Shores gas station — stolen away, police say they believe, in a minivan. One month since a witness saw the minivan pulling into the gas station near closing time. One month since surveillance captured grainy footage of the minivan barreling north through the night.
Days turned into weeks and then into a month.

Jessica Heeringa abduction case task force whittled down due to lack of new tips
The Jessica Heeringa investigative team compiled in an effort to solve the April 26 abduction case has been whittled down a month later, as the volume of information about her disappearance has decreased, police said.
The task force had initially involved investigators from a number of local agencies as well as state and federal authorities after Heeringa, 25, disappeared from the Exxon gas station on East Sternberg Road in Norton Shores on April 26 while she was wrapping up her night shift as a clerk there.

With tips dwindling in the case of a missing 25-year-old gas station clerk, police have scaled back the task force investigating her disappearance.
Jessica Heeringa, police have said, was abducted the night of April 26 near closing time at the Exxon Mobil station on East Sternberg Road in Norton Shores.
Police have fielded more than 2,000 tips related to her disappearance, but because the number of tips pouring in each day has fallen off the number of personnel on the task force has been reduced, Norton Shores Police Chief Daniel Shaw said today

Jessica Heeringa rumor, that she's been found, squashed by police chief
Muskegon's Jessica Heeringa has not been found, contrary to rumors this morning that have circulated on social media sites, according to police leading the investigation.
Heeringa, 25 -- missing since April 26 after police say she was abducted from the Exxon gas station on Sternberg Road in Norton Shores while working alone as a night clerk -- remains missing today, June 3, said Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw.
The rumor that she was discovered sort of “spun out of control,” Shaw said, adding that he received a number of calls this morning from “news crews” and administrators of various “Find Jessica Heeringa” Facebook pages.
Asked whether Heeringa had been found, Shaw replied: “Not that we’ve been told.”
    “It’s a rumor,” he said.
