Family and friends of a Viera teen are planning a prayer vigil tonight for the boy who has been missing for nearly one week.

They have more questions than answers about how William Billy Patient, 16, went missing from a group of kids swimming off Juno Beach on Sunday, May 5. Theyre holding on to hope that Billy walked out of the ocean and is coming home.

Not that I'm implying anything but the ocean and inlets in the area surrounding Juno Beach have been especially rough. Rip current alerts frequently during the last couple of months. And very recently great white sharks spotted!

'Since Hurricane Sandy, there's steep drops in the ocean right off the beach.

There have been at least two accidental drowning/ocean-related deaths within the past months. Rough, rough seas in the area of Juno Beach, Jupiter, Palm Beach.

Hope they will find this boy, safe and sound.

This breaks my heart. I was a friend of his dad since college and he passed away suddenly last year. Now this. I pray every day that he comes home and hope that his mom is holding up and doesn't lose hope.

Private Investigator Rafael Mojica has been assigned to Patient's case.

"If there has been activity on Facebook, most likely he must be alive. But it is hard to tell because with Facebook and technology there are flaws," Mojica said.

Mojica says he is tracing IP addresses and trying to find where the logins are originating from.
