Cleveland police ask the public's help in locating 21-year-old Ashley Leszyeski of Cleveland who was reported missing Wednesday and has not been seen since May 5.

The woman was living on East 55th Street and had filed a domestic violence complaint against her boyfriend. Originally, police believed the woman's two children were missing, but they have been located with relatives.

Police is asking that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Leszyeski contact the 4th District Detective Bureau at 216-623-5418 or 216-623-5400.

Wonder who reported her missing? It floors me when there is such a lapse of time between last seen & reported missing.

Ashley's sister, Tina Leszyeski, said the medical examiner's office told her the body was badly decomposed.

"We are happy we know she wasn't raped. Ashley was struck in the throat by some type of object, punctured some form of bleeding in her throat," Tina Leszyeski said.

Tina said her sister was not small in stature, so she finds it hard to believe that one person was able to take her down. She said she believes there was a struggle.

"I just don't understand how someone so strong, a bigger girl, could easily be drug through that open area and nobody see nothing," Tina said Leszyeski. "We need somebody to come forward for the sake of her babies. Give her kids closure. My sister is not resting right now. She's dead, but she's not resting she's here I know waiting for justice to be served."

The discovery marks the fourth incident in two months in the same east side area. On March 24, Jazmine Trotter, 20, was found dead under an abandoned home. Days later, Christine Malone, 45, was killed nearby. A third victim escaped an attacker on East 116th Street. Police have maintained the incidents are not related.

Family of murder victim still seeking answers 3 years later
The family of murder victim Ashley Leszyeski will hold a candlelight vigil to mark the third anniversary of her murder, in the hopes that someone will come forward with new information that leads to an arrest.

Leszyeski was last seen May 3, 2013. Her mom told Cleveland 19 that her daughter said she was going to the store, and never came back.

“It still hurts a lot and it's very devastating that it's been three years and my sister has passed from a tragic murder at a young age of being only 21 with two young children,” said Heather Leszyeski, Ashley’s older sister.

After weeks of searching, her family said, her body was found in a vacant lot on E. 93rd and Anderson.
