I want to explain the recently removed thread and locked threads. You guys deserve an explanation.
First, it is important for y'all to know that the last thing we want to do is remove or lock threads. We only do it when all other avenues of moderation have failed. Secondly, please understand that all admins & mods here are volunteers. They work their behinds off solely for the cause and because we love our members. In a hot case like this it is not unusual for mods assigned to a case to stay online for 12-18 hours at a time. Sometimes even longer than that. At times, mods' offline lives take precendence. For instance, right now concerning only mods assigned to the Arias case we have one mod who had a recent death of a very close friend and she is juggling a lot, yet she still is here to help when she can; another mod's home flooded badly and she is dealing with that; another mod is on a much deserved vacation out of the country, and still yet one more has a very important appointment today that has required a ton of preparation. All of this is very untimely and for that we are sorry, however it is what it is and sometimes the cards just fall like this. I know you guys do appreciate what we do so I'm not telling y'all this for any other reason that as an explanation as to why we are mod short and can only do so much. I think I know you guys well enough to believe and hope you will understand.
That said, you guys can help keep these threads open. Please read the mod notices, warnings and admonitions. We've have rules. Those rules are not to be control freaks, I promise you that. It would be much easier to let people run loose but that is not how we roll at Websleuths. The rules are for good reasons. We try to be a reputable site. We are not a gossip site. We always err on the side of protecting innocent folks, as to how it pertains to the topical crime. The problems most recently that have caused threads to be closed or locked include: sleuthing of non-players and posting about it; baiting, inciting and bickering & people posting opinions as fact without being verified in a particular area; emailing media outlets and bashing of more than one journalist. NONE of these things are permitted and we do not have the mod coverage right now to handle these kind of things.
So, we would like to review and clean up some of these threads to put them back out for discussion as time permits. Just want you guys to know what you can do to ensure they remain active threads. It helps when you alert problems like I described above so that we can get a handle on them before they derail into the ditches and we are left with no choice but to remove them.
Okay, on to today. Please keep in mind the above when posting in what is sure to be an emotional day. My hint for the day: Don't post impulsively when you are feeling like blowing a gasket. Choose your words carefully, preview your post before hitting "submit reply".
Thanks for listening here. I hope this helps explain. Let's work as a team here, okay?

After watching Darryl Brewer's interview, I have the impression that he blames PPL and Mormon church for her change from a good to a bad person.

Just carrying this over from the last thread, interview with Daryl Brewer .. I'm still watching it, but what stands out to me is his repeated mentioning of the 'magical thinking' Jodi started to display. I think that is Daryl describing her illness getting worse. It's entirely possible she became worse as she got older.Neither the state nor the defense team are saints, and there is usually plenty of incompetence to go around on both sides of the courtroom.

I'm just so confused about why Darryl Brewer cannot testify on JA's behalf? I realize the defense is probably setting her up for appeals, but it seems strange to me that he was all set and ready to go and then the defense basically gave no reason for why he was not allowed to testify. It was like it was a package deal, either both witnesses testify or none. I'm utterly confused.
I also find it bizarre how her ex of several years focuses on what a good worker she was, time and again. I mean, that's his takeaway? She was a good waitress?

Yikes, I just watched the interview with DB and I have to say imho the guy appears so creepy. He sends shivers down my spine as he seems so ice cold and rehearsed. I keep flashing back to the movie Silence Of the Lambs when Hannibal Lecter said "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti".
And I wonder if Jodi got the tongue flickering (lizard) from him?

I came away from the interview with a different impression. I had to shake off all the coincidental feelings I've allowed myself to develop for anyone who clearly supports JA. I have no reason to believe he's not honest and I think he spoke well of her, as to how she was before her PPL intro and the resultant change.
What or how she was prior to her time with Travis has no bearing on her penalty, IMO. And even he said that the person he knew was nothing like what he's seen on the stand, lying, being antagonistic. I agree that a perfect storm was brewing. She was getting more maladjusted and the change began. I do applaud him for showing his face. I am a firm believer that those with nothing to hide, hide nothing. I would not want to be in the shoes of anyone associated with this tragedy on JA's side, whether they still support her or not. That is an association that could and probably has cost some of them plenty. IMOThis is my opinion and my opinion only. I welcome all views and debates from any and all positions! To treat you with respect shows that I respect myself!
I am so sorry that this earthbound effort to win justice for you failed so badly. But know we will NEVER forget you and never stop praying for the Universe to set this right for you. Rest In Peace Precious Little One

Anyone else think that perhaps Jodi has 'something' on DB - that she is blackmailing him from afar into saying nice things about her? He went from NOT wanting to be on camera to NOW doing interviews?!? And oh....remember that photo of private parts....Good grief!
