Fallen officer's daughter graduates from kindergarten

Hundreds of Phoenix police officers showed their support for a fallen colleague by attending his daughter's kindergarten graduation in Anthem on Wednesday.

Officer Daryl Raetz was killed in the line of duty while working the scene of a DUI arrest near 51st Avenue and Cambridge early Sunday morning. Raetz, 29, an Iraq war veteran, joined the Phoenix Police Department on June 8, 2007.

The fate of a man who ran down and killed a Phoenix police officer in 2013 will be decided Friday.

Jesus Cabrera-Molina has pleaded no contest to negligent homicide in the death of Officer Daryl Raetz on May 19, 2013.

Raetz and his partner had stopped a driver on suspicion of driving under the influence and were still on the side of the road near 51st Avenue and Cambridge when Molina allegedly sped through the scene.
