What do we know for sure. , just the facts, no opinions, let's put a time line together, as the police would. , use full names so no confusing new people to Site. , just the story as we know it...as if u writing true crime book.

Here is the story that started the case

Ok. On May 6 2013, 2 guys come walking up driveway to look at a black dodge truck that a man named Tim Bosma has for sale..930ish. Pm.
I can only assume they went to door and say here to look at truck time has listed on kijiji. ,
Tim takes guys for test drive around 940 pm
Tim. Nor his dodge Ram not seen again..

Again fellow slueths just the facts that are known to be true,,no conspiracies, no opinions. No theorys..

9:20 pm

From Hamilton Police Services webpage:

On April 28th, 2013 Timothy Bosma posted his 2007 Dodge Ram pick up for sale on two different web sites. On Monday May 6th a male arranged by telephone to view the truck at Mr. Bosma’s residence in Ancaster. At approximately 9:20 pm Mr. Bosma went for a test drive with two young males in this pickup. Mr. Bosma had told his spouse that the males were from the Toronto area. Mr. Bosma has not been seen or heard from since this time.

SB's words: "You are all aware that I saw the two men who took my husband. You have already been provided a description of these two men."

http://www.hamiltonpolice.on.ca/HPS/News/timbosmafamily.htm

The next day, from LE:

"Police have found that these two individuals test drove a similar vehicle in Toronto on Sunday May 5th in the middle of the day. The owner of this vehicle was not harmed. He was able to provide a description of the two males. This description of the two males matched the description provided by Mrs. Bosma. As well the vehicle owner from Toronto was able to add a description of the first male.

1) male white, 6’1” to 6’2”, 170 to 180 lbs, mid 20’s, light to medium short brown hair, unshaven, wearing blue jeans, long sleeve orange shirt and running shoes. The male had several tattoos on his arms. On one of his wrists where a person wears a watch was the word, “Ambition.” There was a box tattooed, framing the outside of the word. Police have researched this tattoo which is not uncommon but the location of it is unique. This male has not been identified as yet.

2) male white, 5’9” to 5’10” , small to medium build, early to mid 20’s, dark hair, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with hood up over his head.

3) These males were last seen in Mr. Bosma’s vehicle described as a 2007 Dodge Ram pick up black in colour, Ontario licence plate 726 7ZW. "

Dunno. Bet you are going to ask about the cell phone next...

"Police say the cell phone was turned off shortly after 10:00 Monday night and hadn’t been turned back on since"

http://www.chch.com/timeline-for-bosma-case/

"Bosma had his cellphone on him, but it was turned off shortly after his disappearance. Because of the rural area’s poor reception, police were able to track its last ping — that is, the final signal from the phone that bounced off the nearest tower — only to within 50 kilometres."

http://www.chfi.com/2013/05/10/heartbreaking-plea-from-missing-mans-wife/

And yet...the often quoted mile:

"They [Family/friends] learned from police that Bosma's phone was turned off within a mile of the house."

There are a couple of inaccuracies in that, e.g., LE did not know about the "Ambition" tattoo until they had the production order from the burner phone and had talked to Seller #1 on May 9 (not May 8)

TB's cell was found May 9, but that info was only released by LE on May 10 (not found on May 10)

LE picked up DM on May 10 but it was announced May 11 (not arrested May 11)

Nosy neighbours found the incinerator May 10 and took a picture of it, and reported the find to LE and the internet, but LE did not confirm its existence until May 16

Did they trace tims cell or home phones for incoming numbers and traced back to dellens cell. Is that how they tied together

Piece by piece. From the start. Like police did..go tara

Did they trace tims cell or home phones for incoming numbers and traced back to dellens cell. Is that how they tied together

TB was called by the burner phone on his cell. LE already had the burner phone number by May 9, the day TB's phone was found, so they must have used TB's phone records to get it.

May 9 LE had the results of the production order for the burner phone and contacted Seller #1 and the other numbers called by the burner phone. They also determined that the phone had been previously used in the Etobicoke area, where DM's home is.

"Police said that phone records revealed that one of the suspect’s had obtained a cellphone under a fake name three months ago, with most calls made in Toronto’s west end. That phone has not been used since Bosma’s disappearance."

And...

"Detectives said that cellphone was used in Etobicoke the day before Bosma disappeared and that they are making efforts to contact everyone who received a phone call from that number."

And...

"That cellphone, though only registered three months ago, was used in several areas in Etobicoke."

Below is my transcription (with some paraphrasing) of the first police conference, on 2013/05/08. The Q/A is the important part that isn't documented elsewhere in writing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvBQqtxpj8E

Can someone else please watch the video and verify what i've written?

Can someone else also transcribe the other press conferences? in particular the Q/A.

- April 28, 2013, TB posted 2007 dodge ram pickup on 2 website
- On monday may 6, a male arranged by telephone to view the truck at TB home
- at 9:20, Tb went for drive with 2 young males
- TB told SB that they said that they were from Toronto
- “police were notified of his disappearance immediately by his spouse”
- mountain criminal investigation unit started investigation late on may 6
- due to unusual nature of the disappearance, the homicide department will now take the lead, as per policy
- through witnesses, descriptions:

S1 white male 6'1” to 6'2” 170-180 lb, mid twenties, light-medium short brown hair, unshaven, blue jeans, long sleeve orange shrit, running shoes
S2 white male 5/9” 5'10” small to medium build early-mid 20's, dark hair, red hoodie, hood up.

- 2007 dodge ram black, 726 7ZW

Q's:
when was the description of the suspects developed?

--Last night

Why was it held back from media?

--It wasn't. Developed last night, this was first opportunity to release to media

Will you have photos or images of the suspects available?

--As of now, there is no video evidence

Will you be producing sketches?

--I haven't talked to my 'Ident', but that is possible

What sites was the truck posted on?

--Kijiji and Autotrader

The third male that reportedly dropped the other two off, is there any information about him?

--I'm not sure where you're getting that from. It is possible that other people are involved. We know nothing about those people. Right now all we have is the description of the two individuals that attended the residence

Was there a car or anything there that they left? To get there, if they're from toronto?

--The spouse did not see any other vehicle

How many people came to the house?

--Two

Only Two?

--Yes.

Did she see them?

--Yes, she did.

What is hamilton police policy for getting homicide involved?

--If it's an unusual missing person, then we are to be involved, and this had unusual circumstances from the onset. We got involved last night.

Any other information onthe truck at all?

--none. It's flagged at the border, it's been put out through all police agencies, and of course the media.

Are we to assume the suspects are back in toronto?

--No. TB told SB that they said they're from the toronto area. We can't confirm that either way.

Have you been able to get into the accounts to see [inaudible] email accounts [inaudible]

--Unfortunately in this case, mr bosma had put his own (home?) phone number on the websites, and the people called him directly. There is no information from the computers to be gained.

(hard to hear, asking if TB had a cell phone with him)

--Yes he did, it's been turned off, but yes we have some data from it.

What kind of searches will you be carrying out?

--Last night, yesterday, today, and tomorrow (if nothing's found), we have a ground search, including a canine unit. It includes OPP, search/rescue, and it'sup to the coordinator, but there are other resources available, such as an OPP plane.

Where is this taking place?

--This is in the ancaster to brantford area

What can the public do?

--contact police or crimestoppers with any info. I realize this is a common truck, and the only difference is that this is a very large vehicle, a 3500, which is a work vehicle, and it is also a diesel truck.

Did TB tell SB where they were headed?

--I don't believe mr. Bosma knew. They were just going out for a test drive.

[unclear, i'm guessing] What time was the cell phone turned off?

--I'm not going to say that, but it was turned off

Is this a missing persons case or a murder investigation?

--missing persons with unusual circumstances

Should the public be watching out for anything on the two websites?

--definitely. Description of these two males. If a male calls them to see their pickup... Obviously, these males... in the evidence that we have so far, they were targeting a certain type of vehicle, and it was a dodge ram 3500. so if they have that type of vehicle for sale, they are to beware. And use more common sense. Don't give these people your home address, meet them somewhere in the middle of the day,and not in a rural location.

So this truck, you think is the target, and not Bosma.

--That is correct.

Thank you Milothicus

The Getaway/Sightings of TB's truck on May 6:
